French lavender is more delicate than English lavender, and is recognised by its tufted petals which crown the top of the lavender flower. The provence lavender fields of South East France have grown this lightly scented herb since the 16th century. French lavender essential oil is distilled from the flowers and leaves of the lavender plant. This essential grade French lavender oil is suitable for vaporising and blending with other carrier oils for use in massage. The scent of French lavender oil is much more subtle and delicate than lavender – some liken it to rosemary.
This essential oil needs to be blended to a strength of 2% with a carrier oil for use in massage. You can also add a couple of drops to your current conditioner or body cream.Its relaxing scent makes it a popular choice for aromatherapists and other aromatherapy enthusiasts to use at times of stress or winding down for a good night’s sleep.
