All of our Primal Cure soaps are made with 100% organic olive oil, which comprises at least 50% of the soap. We love using olive oil in our soaps as it as a neutral scent, and is rich in skin-friendly vitamins A, D, K and E. Its lipid profile is very similar to human skin, making it an ideal source of moisture for your skin. Naturally-occurring polyphenols have antioxidant properties, while a compound called oleocanthal has anti-inflammatory properties. Finally, and an important one for cleansing soap, it has anti-bacterial qualities.
Our apricot kernel oil variety of our olive oil soap is packed with fatty acids such as oleic acid and linoleic acid which act as emollient for skin as well as strengthening your skin’s barrier function. Vitamin E preserves the lipid layer of your skin while Vitamin C promotes collagen production (the main structural protein found in skin).
