All of our Primal Cure soaps are made with 100% organic olive oil, which comprises at least 50% of the soap. We love using olive oil in our soaps as it as a neutral scent, and is rich in skin-friendly vitamins A, D, K and E. Its lipid profile is very similar to human skin, making it an ideal source of moisture for your skin. Naturally-occurring polyphenols have antioxidant properties, while a compound called oleocanthal has anti-inflammatory properties. Finally, and an important one for cleansing soap, it has anti-bacterial qualities.
The Ancient Egyptians named the aloe vera plant the ‘plant of immortality’, made from 95% water and 5% potent healthy enzymes. These healthy enzymes contain more than 200 bioactive compounds to aid nutrient absorption in the body. It’s especially ideal for sensitive or allergy-prone skin. Vitamins C and E help protect the lipid layer of skin, and contain antioxidant properties to help repair and build tissue.
